Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment
Dual enrollment provides high school students the opportunity to take college courses while simultaneously enrolled in high school.
In some cases, dual enrollment courses can fulfill high school graduation requirements. Each institution has its own set of requirements and prerequisites for enrolling in college courses, and only students who meet those criteria by the appropriate deadlines are eligible to enroll.
Madison City Schools has six dual enrollment partner institutions:
- Calhoun Community College
- University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH)
- Drake State Community and Technical College
- Auburn University (Auburn First.)
- University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa (UA Early College)
- University of North Alabama (UNA Early College)
College courses from institutions not listed above are not recognized by Madison City Schools.
Dual enrollment courses are offered by the partner institution and do not meet on the BJHS campus. Students must complete the required processes at BOTH Bob Jones AND their respective institution to enroll in college classes (virtual or in-person) through the institution. The process for dual enrollment at each partner institution is linked at the top of this page.
