CLICK HERE to view the current list of MCS-approved DE Courses – these are the ONLY approved courses for dual enrollment in Madison City Schools.

If you wish to take courses that are not yet approved by Madison City Schools, you must complete the DE Course Review Request Form. Requests for approval of new dual enrollment courses must be submitted by September 1st for consideration in the following school year's curriculum catalog.

This list from the Alabama State Department of Education indicates which dual enrollment courses may fulfill which high school graduation requirements. Only Alabama Community College System (ACCS) course numbers are listed. Partner institutions may have more information regarding their courses’ high school equivalencies.

This form is required to be submitted to the school counselor IN ADDITION TO completing the necessary steps for enrollment in one of MCS dual enrollment partner institutions.

During course selection in the spring, students may select up to two Dual Enrollment placeholder blocks (Dual Enroll Fall 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Dual Enroll Spring 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) for each dual enrollment course planned. Students may only enroll in dual enrollment courses that have been approved by Madison City Schools. Students must complete both the Madison City Schools DE Agreement Form as well as complete their enrollment with the specific dual enrollment partner institution by the respective deadline:

BJHS deadlines: May 1st (for fall and summer classes) or December 1st (for spring classes)

PLEASE NOTE: Dual enrollment partner institutions may have earlier deadlines than those set by BJHS.
