Dual Enroll - Calhoun

Follow the steps below in order to dual enroll with Calhoun Community College at Bob Jones High School

1. Apply to Calhoun as a dual enrollment student through the Calhoun Dual Enrollment Website
2. Complete the Madison City Dual Enrollment Agreement Form 
3. Complete the Calhoun Course Approval Form
   • Use the Calhoun Online Listing of Courses (Class Schedule) to find and list the specific course(s) you wish to take
   • Check the Madison City dual enrollment webpage to ensure that your course:
     • Is listed as an approved course by Madison City Schools**
     • Fulfils any high school graduation requirements using the “High School Equivalency List”
4. Bring all verification/documents to your school counselor by the appropriate deadline (May 1^st for Summer/Fall, Dec 1^st for Spring)
5. Meet any of Calhoun’s requirements for enrollment in the course (if needed) by attaining one of the following:
   • A screenshot or copy of your qualifying ACT subtest score (sent to school counselor)
   • A qualifying score on the ACCUPLACER placement test through Calhoun (sent to school counselor)
   • A qualifying AP exam score to be sent to Calhoun directly through College Board

Failure to follow the steps above will result in the inability to take dual enrollment courses for your intended semester.

If you would like to request that a dual enrollment course be added to the MCS-approved dual enrollment offerings, please complete this form. Be aware that any newly approved courses will be available only after being approved by the district.
