Sylvia Lambert is beginning her 10th year as Principal of Bob Jones High School. She has also served in Madison City in the capacity of Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction at Bob Jones, Assistant Principal at Liberty Middle School, special education collaborative teacher at Bob Jones, teacher/department lead at James Clemens High School and assistant coach at Liberty Middle School. Previous high school and middle school teaching assignments included in the special education collaborative setting were in Montgomery, Alabama and in Shelby County Schools, Tennessee. Outside the educational arena, Mrs. Lambert worked in the business sector for several years as she and her husband owned and managed a personnel company.

Mrs. Lambert enjoys fitness activities such as pickle ball, jogging, kayaking, cycling, hiking, and golfing. She also enjoys reading, traveling and refinishing furniture.

This is going to be an outstanding school year! At Bob Jones, we prepare our students for their future aspirations! It is a great day to be a Bob Jones Patriot!

I am excited about serving as the assistant principal of Bob Jones High School! 

I am originally from the small town of Cedar Bluff, Alabama. I have a dog named Nova. She is a Pomeranian, named after the Auburn eagle. War Eagle! 

I obtained a bachelors degree from Auburn University in Communication Disorders. Then, I received a master’s degree from Jacksonville State University in Collaborative Special Education K-6,6-12. In addition, I earned a certificate in Instructional Leadership through Jacksonville State University. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate degree in Instructional Leadership. 

Prior to my current role at BJHS, I was Assistant Principal at Liberty Middle, taught collaborative special education at Oxford Middle School and Sparkman High School. Then I was promoted to serve as the assistant principal at Sparkman High School in 2021. 

I am excited about the 2026-2027 school year! I look forward to a successful year at Bob Jones High School.
