Bio

My name is Bryant Starkey, and I am in my 3rd year here at Bob Jones High School. I am from Muscle Shoals, AL where I attended and graduated from MSHS in 2007. From Muscle Shoals, I went to Northeast Mississippi Community College where I played two years of Junior College Football. From NEMCC I transferred to the University of North Alabama where I completed my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership at the University of West Alabama where I plan to finish this December.

After completing my degree at UNA I moved to Madison to teach at Discovery Middle School where I also coached football, basketball, and baseball. After one year at DMS, I moved back to Muscle Shoals to teach at MSHS and coach varsity football and basketball. I am now at Bob Jones High School where I teach in the Social Science Department. I am an assistant in the Boy's Basketball Program and also the faculty representative to the Girl's Golf Program.

I grew up in a family devoted to education. My father is a retired history teacher and elementary principal, and my mother works at Muscle Shoals High School. I love my job working with students in the classroom and student-athletes on the court or field of play. I have always enjoyed studying history and now I get to share my passion with others.

I live in Madison with my wife and daughter. We also have another child on the way in February of 2018!
