I was born in Auburn, Alabama, but spent most of my life growing up in Florence, Alabama. I returned to Auburn for college and earned degrees in Elementary Education and School Library Media.  I have a minor in Spanish, and spent time studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain.   I taught 6th grade before moving into the library media position nine years ago.  One thing I’ve always loved to do is write.  As a child I used to write stories ALL the time.  I finished my first novel in the 7th grade, although I only let one person ever read it!  My husband’s name is Joseph and we have two children, Kate and Jacob. I love to read, swim, spend time with my family, and watch Auburn football.
