Hola! My name is Hope Davis and I teach Spanish I and Spanish II at Bob Jones High School in Madison, AL. I would like to share a little bit about myself with you all. First of all I would like to say "GO PATRIOTS!" I am a former graduate of Bob Jones and I am so excited to be back at my alma mater. After I graduated from BJHS I attended Auburn University and majored in Spanish International Trade. Throughout my time at Auburn I taught an ESL (English as a second language) class. I then participated in a study abroad program and lived in Mexico for a summer. I have also worked for the state of Alabama as an interpreter for the Department of Human Resources, and I travel to Nicaragua every year in order to teach English in the local schools. Upon returning to North Alabama I attended Athens State University to receive my teacher certification. As you can see, I have a passion for the Spanish language and culture and I hope that this is contagious in my classroom and that your children will love it as much as I do. I am also the Spanish Club Sponsor and I take a group of students to the state Spanish Convention competition every year. Through the Spanish Club we also participate in number of community outreach activities to further our understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic Culture.
