Bio

 A little about me:

As a military brat, I moved quite often, so I really can't name just one place where I grew up.  But I spent most of my school years in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. After graduation I went to undergraduate school at Huntingdon College in Montgomery on full academic scholarship, and then received two master's degrees - one in English, the other in Secondary Education - from the University of Alabama at Huntsville a few years later. I completed my third master's degree in Library Information Studies at the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

I live in Harvest, Alabama (about 20 minutes west of Huntsville) on a small, 33-acre farm with my husband, 17-year old son, and a variety of animals – two cats (when you have a barn, it usually attracts ROUS’s – Rodents of Unusual Size), and seven horses.

Not only am I the Library Media Specialist, but I also teach research and informational classes. When I’m not studying or grading papers or creating instructional presentations and handouts, I enjoy reading picture books and YA novels, writing stories, cooking Southern-style, and watching Disney movies.
