I have 35 years of nursing experience.  My background includes Medical-Surgical, Community Health, Home Health/Hospice, Oncology, and Nursing Education experiences.  Prior to coming to BJHS I taught for 17 years at the University of Alabama, Huntsville, College of Nursing.  While at BJHS, I may teach:   Principles of Biomedical Sciences (PBS), Biomedical Innovations with Internship, Foundations of Health Science and Human Bodies Structures and Functions (aka Anatomy and Physiology).  I am also the HOSA sponsor.

I have been married 14 years to a wonderful man who is a nurse practitioner and recently retired as a Commander in the Navy Reserves.     We have 2 grown daughters.    The oldest is a third grade teacher  who  will celebrate her 6 year anniversary  this summer.  They have a one son who is 3.5 years old.    Our youngest just graduated with her Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology and is working in a rehab facility.  In addition we have 2 dogs and 2 cats.

My hobbies include: reading, snow skiing, water skiing, white water canoeing, and scuba diving.
