Writers' Studio: Creative Writing I and Creative Writing II (Literary Magazine)

In one of the largest creative writing programs in the state, Bob Jones students analyze, discuss, and create original works in the categories of prose, poetry, performance poetry, creative nonfiction, drama, comics, children's literature, film, graphic design, advertising, and multimedia.  Student writers develop portfolios and participate in local, state, and national contests.  They also submit their work for publication. 

Recently, Bob Jones creative writing students have placed in the following competitions: Huntsville Literary Association Young Writers' Contest, PTSA Reflections Contest, Alabama Writers' Forum Contest, Alabama Penman Contest, Alabama Scholastic Press Association Contest, Alabama School of Fine Arts Young Writers' Contest, Optimist Club Essay Contest, Peace Valley Essay Contest, JSU Imagining the Holocaust Contest, JSU Writers' Bowl Contest, Scholastic Art and Writing Contest, Randolph 24-Hour Short Film Contest, and Schooltube PSA Contest.
